CHIVAS USA and Coast Soccer League are proud to present the 3rd Annual COPA CHIVAS USA . This is not just another ordinary tournament. This is the “Tournament of Tournaments”.
This Tournament is a Class I Tournament and is open to all teams affiliated with either U.S. Club Soccer, USYS and/or AYSO.
CHIVAS USA is dedicated to becoming an active participant in our entire local youth soccer community and programs. CHIVAS desires to not only build a top notch professional program but to do so while offering our youth players opportunities to train with the Chivas team, become familiar with its players, to offer opportunities to attend Chivas’ Academies and to have a great time playing the sport the whole world loves – SOCCER.
And what can be more rewarding than participating in a tournament that will soon become the “Tournament of Tournaments”.
We will be hosting the tournament at the San Bernardino Soccer Complex and the Blast Soccer Complex in San Bernardino. Actual site locations for teams will be posted once all teams have been accepted into the COPA CHIVAS USA . Tournament hotels will be posted once all teams have been accepted and sites assigned to age groups. Do not make hotel reservations until you are accepted.
Each Team will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.
CHIVAS USA will be providing participating teams with the following opportunities:
The first 100 teams that register and pay will be provided with 22 CHIVAS USA game tickets to a selected game at the HOME DEPOT CENTER.
Every CHAMPIONSHIP Team will be provided with a 5 Game CHIVAS USA mini-season ticket package.
In addition, for the CHAMPIONSHIP Teams for the GU15 and the BU15 Age Groups, CHIVAS USA will arrange for each player, a team coach and a team manager to travel with the CHIVAS USA Team to one of their away games. CHIVAS USA will provide all the travel and lodging.
Further, exceptional team trophies will be presented to the Champions as well as individual player medals will be presented to the teams finishing in 1st and 2nd place.

Acceptances will be e-mailed by March 26, 2008.
There will be no early acceptances.
Registration
Teams will register on the Field one hour before the team’s first game.
There will be no additions to the team roster after the team registers.
Player cards or medical releases may be accepted later by Field Marshall but only if player is listed on the official team roster at time of registration.
At registration, a complete and signed Team Roster must be submitted by Coach or Manager who must certify that all players are FIFA and/or USSF 2007/2008.
Laminated player cards with photo and the player's signature and medical release forms will be required at registration.
Five LOAN PLAYERS will be allowed for all teams. Please see COPA CHIVAS USA Rules for 2008.
PLEASE REMEMBER THESE IMPORTANT FACTS:
As you complete this application and make your payment online, your application is considered complete and your team will be considered for acceptance into the tournament. Making your payment does NOT guarantee acceptance into the tournament. You will receive confirmation that a payment has been received. This is not an acceptance notification into the tournament. The COPA CHIVAS USA , while trying to be equitable in it's team selections, reserves complete jurisdiction of the teams that are selected for whatever reasoning.
Refund Policy: Full refunds will be made to all teams not accepted. Teams that drop before March 1, 2008 will be given refunds less $25 for credit Card processing. No refunds will be given to teams that drop on or after March 1, 2008.
The Tournament Director or referee may suspend any match or tournament in consideration of safety to players or damage to fields in event of inclement weather under any circumstances. Partial refunds for cancelled or suspended games will be considered by Tournament Committee and determined in full accordance with CYSA-S guidelines or rules and regulations but will not exceed $100 per game.
No refund will be allowed due to forfeit of game by team accepted to tournament.
